Patriots for Europe ahead of the March 2026 plenary session

As Patriots for Europe, we present an alternative vision for the continent — a Europe that protects its citizens, respects national sovereignty, and is based on common-sense policies. We stand in clear opposition to the coalition of the EPP, Socialists and Liberals, which seeks to maintain the current harmful course.

Our opposition to the 2027 budget

We reject the 2027 budget plans pushed by the left-liberal majority because they treat EU funds as a tool for imposing ideology. We do not agree to spending billions of euros on managing illegal migration, financing “pseudo-civil” organizations, and promoting “woke” propaganda that undermines the sovereignty of Member States.

At the same time, we strongly oppose the planned cuts to the Common Agricultural Policy and regional funds. As the only political force that truly supports farmers and entrepreneurs, we demand a budget that focuses not on managing migration but on stopping it completely and protecting the borders.

Fighting censorship and digital surveillance

We expose the Brussels censorship machinery. We highlight the fact that the European Commission exerted unacceptable pressure on social media platforms to restrict content related to migration, COVID-19, or gender policy, primarily targeting conservative opinions. We will not allow freedom of speech to be restricted under the pretext of combating “disinformation”.

We reject the construction of a new digital order based on surveillance. We oppose the Digital Services Act (DSA), the digital euro, and the surveillance of private communications (CSAR), because we believe that freedom is the primary condition of human dignity, not a privilege granted by institutions.

Housing, energy and citizens’ security

Housing: We maintain that housing policy must remain an exclusive competence of Member States. We point out that EU elites’ regulations, such as the Green Deal, increase construction costs, while their plans completely ignore the impact of mass migration on rising rents.

Energy: We criticize EU energy packages as purely symbolic actions. In our view, the real problem lies in high energy costs resulting from EU regulatory burdens, which undermine our competitiveness.

Security: We warn against the ongoing Islamization of our countries and the loss of national identity caused by naïve migration policies. We also call for an end to leniency toward far-left violence and the use of double standards in condemning extremism.

Protecting the economy and agriculture

We oppose the “Talent Pool” strategy, which we view as demographic and economic suicide for Europe. Instead of importing cheap labour that lowers Europeans’ wages, we advocate increasing productivity and pursuing policies that support families.

Furthermore, as a group we protest against the hasty ratification of the EU-Mercosur agreement. We consider it unacceptable to introduce tariff reductions before full democratic scrutiny, as this threatens regulatory sovereignty and the interests of our farmers.

During the current session, we have taken concrete action by submitting, among others, 28 amendments to the budgetary guidelines and 44 amendments to the Talent Pool report, in order to defend the interests of free citizens and sovereign nations.
