PATRIOTS GENERAL ASSEMBLY – PARIS 16 NOVEMBER

At its General Assembly in Paris on Saturday 16 November 2024, the Patriots.eu party appointed the Spaniard Santiago Abascal as its new president. Mr. Santiago Abascal, the President of Vox succeeds Gerolf Annemans, and he will continue the fight to strengthen a political family that makes electoral progress throughout Europe. Kinga Gal (Fidesz) becomes Vice-President of Patriots.eu and Catherine Griset (Rassemblement National) the party treasurer.  At the same time, Patriots.eu welcomes three new party members: Ruch Narodowy (Poland), Motoriste Sobe (Czech Republic) and Prisaha (Czech Republic).   
Our European party gathers now 15 party members from 13 European countries. In addition to the parties listed above, other members are: Rassemblement National (France), Fidesz (Hungary), Ano 2011 (Czech Republic), Lega Nord and Lega Salvini Premier (Italy), Partij voor de Vrijheid (The Netherlands), Freiheitliche Partei Österreichs (Austria), Vox (Spain), Vlaams Belang (Flanders) Chega (Portugal), Foni Logikis (Greece) and Eesti Konservatiivne Rahvaerakond (Estonia).  
Patriots.eu reiterated its intention to defend the sovereignty of EU Member States against the European Commission centralization and the creation of a European superstate. Particularly, in the field of immigration. The leaders of the Patriots.eu have insisted on the possibility for Member States to activate the opt-out; allowing them to leave the European Migration Pact which will result in migrants being distributed throughout the continent.   
The recent elections in Europe and elsewhere in the world should encourage the elected representatives to listen to the message sent by voters and to understand that they are attached to their traditions, their identity, their freedom and most of all their security. More than ever, in a current fractured world, it is the duty of European governments to defend these values.
